I like to think that we all have times where we think we might be going crazy because of one thing or another. Or at least I tell myself that I'm not the only one. And we all have our little things that we go to to make us feel better, one of mine right now is a mexican coke (don't ask). The problem though is what to do with a toddler who can't talk? Oh wait, you put him at a table across from a 2 year old and let them hash it out and laugh at each other. Yes it was another lunch date with Caroline and Reid. Luckily we chose the outside eating area. Reid and Jackson yelled back and forth and then laughed at each other yelling while Caroline and I talked about anything and everything.
Last week at my Bible study there was a visitor there who asked us what makes a good day good. Part of my answer was if my day included lunch with Caroline and Reid. There's just nothing like being with someone you've known forever and being able to let down all your guards, not have on makeup and not worry about what your child is or isn't doing. There are 3 of us that all grew up together that are still close, sadly one lives in Birmingham and we don't get to see her as often. I just realize how lucky we are and how rare that is. So, yes I went sappy today but there's nothing better than trusted friends.
